Park Avenue is the heart of Winter Park, the walkable, leafy town just north of downtown Orlando that's long been a favorite weekend destination for locals. The commercial stretch runs several blocks north-to-south, with brick sidewalks, mature oaks, and Central Park — a public green space with a fountain and live oaks — running the full length on the west side of the street. Shopping skews independent and boutique. You'll find locally owned clothing and home stores, jewelers, bookshops, stationery and gift shops, and a handful of national names like Anthropologie and Williams-Sonoma. The side streets and the second-floor spaces above Park Avenue host small galleries, design studios, and specialty retailers. Cafes and sit-down restaurants with sidewalk seating are scattered along the route and make it easy to linger for coffee or a long lunch between stops. The area is anchored culturally by the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art — home to one of the world's most significant collections of Tiffany glass — and by Rollins College, whose Mediterranean-style campus sits at the south end of the avenue. A SunRail commuter-train station two blocks east makes the district reachable without a car, and a Saturday farmers' market at the west train depot draws both residents and visitors.
