Disney Springs is Walt Disney World's free-admission shopping, dining, and entertainment district, redeveloped from the former Downtown Disney and reopened with a waterfront setting designed to evoke a turn-of-the-century Florida lakeside town. Admission and parking are free, which makes it a popular stop for park guests on rest days and for Orlando visitors who want a taste of Disney without buying a theme-park ticket. The district is organized into four themed neighborhoods — Marketplace, The Landing, Town Center, and West Side — connected by walkable paths along Village Lake. Shopping ranges from the massive World of Disney flagship store to specialty Disney boutiques, plus a broad mix of third-party brands you won't find elsewhere inside Walt Disney World, including national names like UNIQLO, Sephora, and Zara alongside smaller and one-of-a-kind stores. Dining is a standout: celebrity-chef restaurants, a branch of Wolfgang Puck, and long-standing favorites like The BOATHOUSE and House of Blues sit alongside quick-service spots, specialty dessert shops, and several counter-service options. Evening entertainment includes Cirque du Soleil's "Drawn to Life," live music on multiple outdoor stages, and the tethered Aerophile balloon ride. Most visitors plan at least a half-day here to work through the district at a relaxed pace.
