About Canaveral National Seashore
Canaveral National Seashore is a 24-mile undeveloped barrier island one hour east of Orlando, the longest stretch of wild Atlantic beach in Florida. The federally protected shoreline is a nesting site for loggerhead and green sea turtles, and its position directly north of Kennedy Space Center makes it one of the best public spots for watching rocket launches. Access is split between Apollo Beach in the north and Playalinda Beach in the south, with undeveloped Klondike Beach in between.
